Jenny Mixon

Jenny Mixon is an painter and faux artist. She has a flare for color and interpreting the client’s vision with precision. For over 25 years Jenny has collaborated with home owners and designers throughout the southeast to create paintings and finishes for residential and commercial spaces. She grew up in Atlanta and graduated from The Lovett School. Jenny Mixon studied painting and interior design in the Fine Arts Department at Georgia State University where she completed the Interior Design Program in 1989. While at Georgia State, she studied painting under Quida Cannady at Atlanta’s Artists Atelier. Jenny Mixon apprenticed for a top Atlanta decorative painter and took her first decorative finish commission in 1991. Since then, she has expanded her works to include large scale projects.. Her work has been highlighted Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Magazines, Old House Interiors Magazine, Laurel Magazine, and on HGTV. Her decorative painting work has been shown in the Cashiers Designer Showhouse(NC), Jacksonville Show House (FL) and Thomasville Show House (GA). Jenny’s paintings are currently shown at The Swan Coach House Gallery in Atlanta, Summerhouse in Highlands and The Curated Home in Cashiers. When not painting on site for clients, she works out of her Cashiers, NC studio. Jenny lives in Highlands.
